MITCH is an independent micro-space dedicated to art and architecture. Situated in a former hair salon, it provides artists, curators, and architects with a supportive context in which to present research-based work.
MITCH encourages experimentation with spatial display, making such explorations public while fostering dialogue around the questions that inform contemporary practices.
Operating outside institutional frameworks, MITCH is a non-profit, volunteer-run initiative. Its programme comprises four to six short-format exhibitions annually, each developed around shared concerns or references across art and architecture. This programme is complemented by a series of monthly gatherings: talks, lectures, readings, workshops, and performances; conceived as platforms for exchange and collective reflection.
Practitioners working within art or architecture who wish to propose a project are warmly invited to get in touch: love@mitch.brussels
Hosted by the architecture office L’Atelier DEV in Saint-Gilles, a short distance from the Parvis, MITCH occupies the ground-floor storefront at the front of the building. The exhibition space is directly accessible from, and fully visible to, the street.
